Aspen Ladd
Aspen Ladd started her combat sports training at the age of 14. She studied kickboxing, boxing and wrestling before she made her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC with Jaimee Nievera. Ladd became more confident after this win and won 3 fights at Ultimate Reno Combat. Her adversaries were defeated all during the first round. In WCFC Ladd fought, she defeated Leslie Rodriguez with a unanimous decision. Aspen initially defeated Silvia Babyghian before going on to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 and fought Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was superior to Aspen as she beat her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's record as an amateur was affected. Ladd rebounded from the loss and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight one. Aspen was a pro-fighter for the first time in 2015 after signing to Invicta FC. At InvictaFC 11, she had her first professional fight. Aspen dominated Ana Carolina Vidal, securing an 1st round TKO. Invicta fought her at Bantamweight and prevailed via armbar submission in the second round. Aspen utilized the skills she had learned in wrestling to beat McGill. Aspen ended her bout via the TKO (3rd round) (elbows, punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy at Invicta FC 18, which was catchweight(138.1lb) as Ladd missed weight despite this Aspen was a dominant Hoy and finished her in the second round via TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her final fight for the company. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks be defeated in a unanimity. Aspen Ladd made her UFC debut at UFC Fight Night 118 against Lina Lansberg. She outclassed Lina by pounding and grounding her, winning the TKO in second round. She remained dominant, and won another victory over Tonya Avinger in UFC 229 with her next fight. Ladd won the fight at the start of round one, and received the Performance of the Night Bonus. Invicta FC's Sijara Eubanks was her opponent for the rematch that took place at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. It was the fighter's first major match. Ladd took home the fight of the night bonus, after both fighters had hard in a tense combat. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd within 16 seconds, breaking her winning streak. Then she bounced back and defeated Yana Kunitskaya in the third round at UFC at ESPN 7. As a replacement, she fought Norma Dumont in her most recent UFC fight. Her defeat was decided by unanimous decision.
